We are starting to write to cyclists who we’ve chosen for our initial round of monitoring. Our primary criterion at this point in the study is geography — we want to maximize our coverage of NYC. We’ll be contacting riders over the next few weeks, so keep your eyes open for emails from our research assistant Cara Smith.
For those who don’t end up participating this summer, we’re working on some interesting, innovative ways for you to assess your exposure just based on location (+ modeled time- and location-specific concentration data). Additionally, we’re hoping to roll out an opportunity to participate using lower cost air quality sensors. We’ll email everyone who has signed up here about these options, so please share your info.
In the meantime, please add questions to the comments below, and I’ll do my best to answer in future posts.
